Enjoy great savings on our custom slipcover service. If you need a custom-fit, you may find a local shop to provide in-hourse services. Because you drop off and pick up your furniture, you can sometimes receive discounted prices amounting up to 30% off standard custom pricing.
On-site fitting services make it easy. Simply drop off your chair, ottoman or cushions at the store and you can generally have your covers done in six-eight weeks.
For larger furniture, you can sometimes call to make an appointment for the seamstress to come to your house. Expert sewing includes kick pleats, piping, and zippers. A professional can even copy your old custom cover so you don’t have to bring your furniture in!
A good professional will do everything possible to create the slipcover you imagine for your furniture. That includes reasonable adjustments to your cover once it is complete.
Please note, however, that slipcovers are NOT upholstery. Because they are hand-made, they will never be “perfect.” Just look at any photo in Country Living magazine and you will understand the inherent one-of-a-kind look and fit of custom slipcovers. You should be willing to accept a well-made, good-looking slipcover that isn’t perfect and to understand that the shop cannot be liable for inferior fabric that you supply.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
The number of yards required depends on the width of the fabric. The list below assumes a fabric width of 54” and that you have fairly standard furniture. Patterns require more fabric in order to match properly. Piping and extra deep furniture and large cushions require more fabric as does multiple seat and back cushions. NOTE: It is always better to have too much fabric! Extra fabric can be stored for emergency slipcover repairs or replacement and can also be used to make decorative pillows or valances.

About Waverly
The Waverly brand was created in 1923 to bring affordable prints to American consumers. Waverly is famous for it’s coordinating prints and companion wallpapers, all of which can be seen at www.waverly.com. We carry a basic selection of Waverly cotton solids, prints, checks and stripes as well as textured fabrics and Sun N Shade fabrics. In stock prices range from $9.99/yd for an 11 oz. Cotton fabric to $19.99/yd for an upholstery weight woven fabric. Sun N Shade runs $10.95/yd. For special orders, you'll typically need to add $3 per yard with a minimum ten yard order. That price more than doubles when ordering less than ten yards. Note: Special orders must usually be paid in advance.
...and don't forget - bulk-up skinny-armed furiture for a great slip cover fit!
Now there's a solution for those with petite-armed furniture. Make your own custom armpads using upholstery foam in the shape of an overstuffed arm. When placed on top of a small arm and tucked into the crevices of the furniture to secure, this technique can greatly improve the look and fit of a slip cover.
